They descend today, my kin. The first batch from the east, then on Friday they come from the west. Our first Christmas together in 9 years. Our first Christmas with all the kids.
Didn't get all the baking done. Didn't get all the meal planning done. Didn't get all the shopping done. Didn't get all the cleaning done. But I did get some of each of those done. And some is enough.
I'm excited about having my family for Christmas. It likely won't be perfect - I'm not perfect and that's not surprise to them. It won't be perfect but it will be just right. Especially because we all here.
Hi Sandy! Glad I found your blog! I was looking at my blog stats and saw that someone clicked to mine from crewkh and I had no idea who that was! I am looking forward to following yours now. I love this little reflection on getting ready for family...you encourage me as I am waiting for family to come as well and right now I am hoping that I can at least have their beds uncovered from all the clutter in my guest rooms! It will be just right. I hope you are having a fantastic time.
